I know I have said it before...but my husband is the BEST! Last week Paul told me that he was going to take me out to dinner and his parents were going to watch the babies. My sister was also coming to spend the weekend so she would be there to help Pete and Carol with the cherubs. Friday rolled around and I had just finished getting ready. I heard Pete and Carol come in so I came down the stairs and to my surprise there were my girlfriends!!! Ready to take me out for a GIRL'S NIGHT! I was so excited and really caught off guard. Paul had called Ashley and told her to set it up because I hadn't been out. We had a wonderful time at a new Tapas restaurant in Canton and then headed to Comparis in downtown Plymouth to sit outside. What a beautiful night! The party didn't end until the very last minute when we were in my driveway singing some sweet tunes (singing or screaming; I am not sure which). The next day a few of my neighbors had something to say about that. Oops! Thank you to my fabulous husband and to my spectacular girlfriends (they refused to let me pay for anything)! I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life!
This past weekend my sister and I ventured out to downtown Plymouth with the babies and the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk was in town. It was awesome to see so much pink and so many people cheering the walkers on. My sister and I have always wanted to do the walk in honor of our Mom and Grandma, but you have to raise quite a bit of money to participate. Some day we will do it. The babies did a great job and got to see their first (and probably only pink fountain).
On to the babies...they are almost 6 months old (October 8) and 14 weeks adjusted. They are fitting into six month clothes and size two diapers. WOW! I just can't believe how quickly they are growing.
Here is our daily schedule...
4:00 am -eat and back to sleep
9:00 am -eat, up for a short while and nap
11:00 am -play time- read books, tummy time, go for a walk, jumperoo, exersaucer, practice rolling over and sitting up
12:00 pm - eat
12:30 pm -play time continues and probably a cat nap
3:00 pm - eat again and play
6:30 pm - eat and bedtime
The babies are eating around 6 ounces at every feeding. I am worried that I am feeding them too much. They are so chubby! My doctor says that if they are eating it, then it isn't too much. Any thoughts? I am so curious to hear about what others are feeding their babies or fed their babies at this age. We go through a large can of formula a day; which is quite expensive.
Aidan, Brooklyn and Calahan are really starting to notice each other and they smile and talk to one another. It is the neatest thing to see. I haven't managed to get it on video yet, but I will. They are also noticing their bottles and get excited when they see those coming. But my favorite part of the day is going into the babies' room to get them in the morning. They get the biggest smiles when they see Paul or myself first thing in the morning. It warms my heart and is just the best feeling in the world.
That is all for now! We hope all of you are doing well!

I don't know how much Josiah was eating at that age but he was a BIG chubber-wubber too! All my docs said the same thing, you offer it until they refuse. So feed them as much as they want, same goes for when you start them on cereal. Just keep spooning it into their mouth until they stop eating!
Claire's nickname is Boots, this is derived from her baby name of Bootsy Girl. She was called this because though I had many cute pairs of patent leather shoes to go with her cute church dresses... she wore corduroy booties til she was walking at 14mo. because her legs were like sausages and her feet were chubby little bricks that would not fit in any shoe from top to bottom.
Look at her now... I worried so with Abby (almost as bad, but by the time Tommy came around... I was unconcerned at his girth, and by age two all three were back on the charts.
Trust the doctors... they haven't let you down yet.

Hey Kristin it is Michelle from Holden. I can't believe how big the babies are. They are grown so much. It is so much to see them. It looks like things are going well. Don't be worried about the 6 oz, my little one is already taking 5-6 oz. Mind you he is 6 weekss old. If he doesn't get his 5-6 oz he is so fussy.
You have got to give the kids what they want. Check out my blog to see him www.c-msadler.blogspot.com.
Keep up the good work!!
